daddy's girl

I lost my Daddy yesterday. The one and only thing I wanted more than a child was to have him here as I became a Mom. As I type Greg is on his way from Afghanistan. I don't have much to say other than I lost my best friend.

Julie, I haven't had a chance to respond on Resolve, but I am so sorry for your loss. I can understand your wish that he could have seen you become a Mommy. I'm sure he would be so proud of the Mommy you will be soon...best wishes as you go throught his very difficult time...Lori (Lori-WA on Resolve)

I am so sorry. I lost mine October 5th and I feel much pain and regret that I could not make him a granddaddy because he wanted to be one so badly. I will pray for you.

I came over from Jamie's blog. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your father. My husband lost his father many years ago and often I think of how much he would love our son if he had been around long enough for us to become parents through adoption. I wish you comfort, strength, and peace.

I'm so sorry you lost your best friend.

My dad died 18 years ago, and I can say that it doesn't get better, but it does get easier. My sympathies...

I'm so very sorry.

I lost my beloved Dad just over a year ago and I still am yet to come to terms with his passing over.

Aside from losing him in my life, the one thing that brings me to tears is the thought that I never got to make him a Grandfather and thats something he wanted more than anything.

big hugs

xxxx

I'm happy, though, that the military sent your husband home to be with your during this difficult time.

Many prayers for you and your family.

Hi Julie, I am here from LFCA. I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about the death of your daddy. It is a truly devastating experience to go through and I know that feeling of wanting one's dad to see your little one and not getting to see that.
He sounds like a wonderful guy.
One of the ways I grieved my father, who died about 18 months ago, was really honoring him in as many ways as I could - photo collages, telling people about him, talking to my relatives and finding out stories about him that I had not heard before, keeping his picture with me all the time.
take good care. I hope your husband gets there soon:) (HUGS)

I just found your blog through the stirrup queens and this post brought me to tears. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose your best friend. My dad is my best friend too and I also want him to see me as a mom, so my heart aches for you!

On a positive note, congrats on your beautiful Christmas Miracle!
